DING DONG!!

The manager came into my shaggy little house. He was popular around here, but I had no idea what he was doing here.

"I have a job for you"

My heartleaped with happiness. My family desperately needed some money.

"You can drive the local bus. The old bus driver just retired."

My face fell. I didn't have a driver's license. And the driving lessons cost was tremendous. "But I don't have a driver's license sir."

He tugged at the hair on his beard in thought. "Well then I guess I'll have to find someone else to give this job to."

"Wait." I couldn't miss this wonderful chance. "I will try to get a driving license".

"Many people need the bus everyday. I'll give you a couple of days. At least confirm you can get a license."

"Yes sir" I said.

He left.

I walked down to the range of driving schools that were clumped together. I chose the one I thought would have the cheapest driving lessons cost. It was pretty shaggy, but so was the rest of my life, so I didn't mind.

I asked the man at the counter how much the driving lessons cost was.

"$20"

I almost jumped with shock. How could it be so expensive just to get a license?

I did have $15 very painfully saved. I needed another $5. That usually took months. HOW HOW HOW????

I was walking outside when something caught my eye. Fluttering in the snow (it was winter) was a five dollar note. It felt like a blessing!!

I payed the driving lessons cost, then met my instructor. He was pretty nice. I worked hard at my driving and thought I was getting extremely skillful at driving. Then I did my driving practice test. I passed!

It was finally time for my real test. My family was very proud of me, and I was sure a bus driver job paid well.I was excited! I took the test a little nervously, but I saw the results. PASS!!! I could have screamed with joy.

My family was waiting for the news! They screamed! Then I went straight to the manager and gave him my license. I got the job!!!!!!!!!

Now I drive around town, dropping and picking up people. I am getting paid very well, and I love my life. Thanks to the manager and the driving school. I will never forget this!
