Transport Story

My brother is twenty six years old and has been asked by my parents to give me some pointers on driving.My brother attended one of theautomatic driving schools in Texas when he had learned to drive and it hadcost them up to two thousand dollars they were not planning on paying that again.He passed his driving test when he was sixteen with flying colors and they wanted him to pass his wisdom onto me. He agreed but said that it had to be in my parents car, he had just put a whole bunch of money into restoring a classic car he got at some junk yard. my current method of transportation was a bike I bought with my own babysitting money.

On the first day of lessons I was definitely nervous but my brother was very sweet about making sure that I was calm, comfortable, and relaxed. After a few minutes of trying to calm my breathing down I was ready. The first thing he had told me to do was check my mirrors and make sure I could see my blind spot. He then showed me how I was to keep my hands at ten and two on the wheel which was a little difficult so he ran back in the house and grabbed some round stickers and putthem in their proper place. He did not put numbers though because that would vary on how I turned the wheel. When it wastime to back out I almost backed into my brothers classic car but i ended up backing into my bike instead. The day went okay and I didn't cause to much damageso Iactually started to feel more confidentabout myself behindthe wheel.

When my lessonshad concluded my dad drove me to the DMV to take my driving test,and i wasn't even scared. I was excited Iknew I could passmy driving test because I knew I had gone over everything and i didpass. When I rushed home to tell my brother he gave me a huge surprise.He put my bike away and got me a classic car of my own.
