Transport Story

Summer was here and I had just finished all my school exams and also finished school for the final time, as I walked home from school for that last time I went past the skip bins hire company and noticed that they were looking for workers as they had a sign up in the window for vacancies and what was even better was it said school leavers welcome.

I decided to go inside and try my luck I had nothing to lose, they gave me an application form and asked me to drop it back in as soon as possible. I went home and straight away filled it in although I couldn't put in my GCSE results as I wouldn't have them until the middle of August although I put in my expected grade.

The following morning I went back in and dropped off my application form they told me I might hear from them later that day, I said that I had my mobile phone on me so they could get hold of me whenever they wanted to.

They phoned that afternoon and asked me to come in for an interview later that day, I quickly got showered and changed and smartened myself up and walked down to the shop.

In my interview they told me that there were plenty of opportunities to grow within the company and that they would help me pass my driving theory test and my practical test which I thought was great they also had a sister company an insurance group so all employees who got any type of insurance from that insurance group got a discount. My interview went well and I couldn't wait to go home and tell my dad about it all.

As soon as I walked in through the door my dad started questioning me about the interview, I told him that they would help put me through my driving theory test and my practical test, theory test my dad said we never had that sort of thing back in my day, I also told him about the insurance group that was a sister company to the skip bin hire company he said that sounded great and if I got the job he would definitely get a quote to see how much they could save him on his insurance.

Now all I have to do is wait for the phone to ring for them to let me know if I have the job or not oh well wish me luck.
